US Patent Office Issues First Exerscape Patent


US Patent #6,004,243 Issued On December 21, 1999

(SANDY, UT December 22, 1999)— The United States Patent Office has issued US Utility Patent number 6,004,243, titled "Dynamic real time exercise video apparatus and method". This patent claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 60-005,239, filed Oct. 11, 1995. Similar patents continue to pend in Canada, Australia, England, France, Germany, and Italy.

Bruce Ewert, founder of IXR and inventor of the Exerscape™ real time interactive video technology, states "The issuance of this patent confirms our belief that the Exerscape technology is unique. We believe our technology is best-of-breed and look forward to its entry in the marketplace early next year!"
