Bell Blackburn RX-9 System is the first product based on the US patent-approved DVD Live™ variable rate video technology invented by IXR Corp. DVD Live smoothly varies the video speed under the control of the wheel speed. As you pedal faster, you go faster through the helmet cam video filmed on location. Ambient sounds are mixed with self-selected music, played from the Internet or from a local CD. Workout data is saved for review; the exerscape.com Exergate Web database will enable users to share their workout information with coaches, rehabilitation specialists, and others.

The included WebDVD will contain almost four hours of footage filmed on location on and around the White Rim Trail through Canyonlands National Park. Double-Emmy winning cinematographer Tom Grissom captured the best parts of this 106-mile loop. Tom rode a motorcycle behind Olympic medalist Susan DeMattei and professional mountain bike racer Carmen Richardson. Visually stunning, Exerscape™ RIDE.moab™ mentally transports users to Canyonlands as they race through the desert cliffs. They control their speed by pedaling faster or slower. Future versions will dynamically control the resistance level, based on the presence of hills in the video. A growing library of WebDVD titles will feature famous races and beautiful places at $25 to $35 price points.

IXR's breakthrough DVD Live™ technology provides an unmatched level of realism by seamlessly varying the video rate of high-quality MPEG2 DVD Video. As Jim Taylor, noted author of "DVD Demystified", puts it "DVD Live is an unparalleled advancement of stunning simplicity" Originally conceived and invented by IXR founder Bruce Ewert, DVD Live™ enables high-quality digital video speed to be manipulated at will. Mr. Ewert, with his Speilbergian resemblance and varied sporting and technologic background, notes "this is just the first step of where we want to take users as we continue to push the frontiers of realistic POV capture and user-driven displays, with real-time Internet connectivity!"
