Steve Coffin, Electronic Engineer
1989, University of Utah--Earned Master of Science degree in Physics. Emphasis on electronics and instrumentation
1988-96, Center for Engineering Design, University of Utah--.
Development of integrated micro sensor technology for ARPA. Other activities include analog and digital integrated circuit design and simulation, testing and evaluation of integrated circuits, interfacing micro sensors to computer systems, and low level software development for micro sensor computer interface designs. Designed the CPU for a remote personnel monitoring system for battlefield use. This system monitored personnel heart rate, body temperature, and location (via GPS), relaying this information to a central network. Features included multiple RF communications channels and ultra low power consumption.
